What a valid notice includes
Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, a takedown notice must contain:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- The URL of each APK1 application page you want removed.
- Your contact details: name and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
Incomplete notices may be delayed or rejected. Knowingly false claims can make you liable for damages, so please make sure you hold the rights before filing.
